Welcome to the Hertfordshire Regiment Museum

An online resource from Hertford Museum

The Hertfordshire Regiment, a volunteer force made up of clerks, postmen, labourers and tradesmen, with the more professional classes in Officer positions, was in existence between 1908 and 1961.

Here you can discover the history of The Hertfordshire Regiment, read inspiring stories of courage in the face of adversity and explore some of our collections.

This website will continue to grow and evolve in response to our growing collections and information we receive. Please do get in touch if you can identify any people in our images or have stories or collections you wish to donate to the museum.
